FAQ's

Q: If I put my story up on your site isn't there a chance that someone will take the idea?

A- Yes, there is always a risk involved in any kind of publication. But if you want the reality of it, you could be kind of paranoid. Not a huge amount of people find this site, and the only ones that have time to read a full story are teens. But if for some reason you really want to make sure you're story idea is safe and you don't have the $ to get a real copyright, you can do the 'Poor Man's Copyright'. Just put your story in an envelope and send it to yourself. When you get it back don't open it. If it's sealed and the P.O. has it's date on it, you can prove by a federal operation that your story was yours before it was anyone else's. However, you will still be slightly paranoid. ^_^

Q: I really want someone to edit my story before others see it. Is there any chance that you could read through my story before you put it on?

A- Most definitely. I love to edit people's stories but never have the time to read everyone's. If you'd like your story to be the best that it can be, or at least that I can offer, just ask me at the end of your summary to read it through before I put it on.

Q: If I'm planning on publishing my story in the future is it better not to submit?

A- No, it'll actually help you when you get published. First, by getting some reader input on your story. This can help you avoid the simple little mistakes that make publishers turn so many away. Second, you will be able to know a few of the ins and outs of having people mess with your story. You will know what is important to make sure to look for in a publisher and what not to look for (what you like about me and what you hate). Plus, when you do get published I can easily  take it off the site if you let me know at least 3 days ahead of time.
